This morning I was going to share a super cute post with you. Full of imagery, inspiration for decorating, links to where to find all the fun Kate Spade goodies. . . But then, I woke up and checked instagram, and saw something that just broke my heart into a million pieces.
I have been following the blog BabyBoyBakery for a couple years now. Especially on instagram, and seeing all the pictures of her adorable long curly red hair baby boy. Its amazing, blogging. It creates a community. It connects you with people all over the world. Many of whom you will never meet in person, but you still have a great sense of community with. You laugh with them, cry with them, rejoice with them, and cheer them on from the sidelines! It is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced, and its why I don’t think I’ll ever stop blogging.
On Friday night, a tragedy happened to Jacqui and her husband Dan. Their precious 3 1/2 year old Ryan was playing with a frisbee in front of a family members house, and ran into the road to get it and was hit by a truck. It happened so quickly, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I cried as I read the story on one of her friends page, Allisa. You can read the full story here.
And a quick quote from her blog just reminds me of this amazing community of bloggers and how we can help those even when we are miles away…
“she needs, they need, our support.
They need us to rally
They needs us to pray”
Will you help us pray? Pray for peace in this time of tragedy. I can not imagine the pain they are feeling right now, and I hope God wraps them in His arms and brings them comfort, strength, and healing.

Tomorrow will be back to a fun post. But today, I wanted to share this with you, because I know this is a strong community, and when one is hurting we all feel it, and sharing this and praying for them is all I know to do to help them right now.

My heart broke when I saw as well.. It’s unimaginable. However, the way the IG and Blogging community has rallied around the family is absolutely incredible. I pray it provides some peace for their family during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing this story.

Thank you for posting. Here are a few more ways you can help the Saldana family and keep sweet Ryan’s memory alive: http://www.snowstormblog.com/2014/05/redballoonsforryan.html
Thank you! I purchased a shirt from Indie Nook. Just glad I could help in some way.
The story of this family hit home so hard when I heard about it last week. We have a little boy whose spirit is much like that of Ryan’s, and I simply could not fathom the darkness that would exist for me if I lost my child. I still cannot verbally share this story with friends without my lip quivering. I’m not exactly sure what story God wants this family to tell…but we must trust that this is all part of grander plan.
