So, I’m basically a grown-up kid. Here are things that I love:

  • Sprinkles
  • Bright colored food
  • Fruity Pebbles & Fruit Loops on donuts
  • Fruity Pebble French Toast (had this in Daytona, FL – life. changed)
  • Bubbles
  • Balloons
  • Confetti

When you live in a tiny house, there’s not a lot of room to create a fabulous Valentine’s meal. But you can make waffles. Have you seen all the magical things you can put in a waffle maker? Cinnamon rolls, hash browns, shredded sweet potatoes… it’s easy to make them sweet or savory. And I’m a firm believer that waffles aren’t just for breakfast.

Since I have a love for waffles, I wanted to make some PINK ones for Valentine’s! It’s super simple, first, grab your favorite waffle mix or recipe (I come from a Bisquick loving family). You’ll also need food coloring. You could do red or pink (or really any color for any holiday or birthday!), and I used this food coloring, in the neon pink color!

Once you’ve made your batter, split it into two bowls and add your food coloring to one of the halves. I went for hot pink, obviously, but you can do red or a combination! Once you’ve got your batter done, you’re going to pour both colors in, I did a few drops of white, and then a few pink, and repeat until it’s full.

Gah! Aren’t they so cute? I was worried they weren’t going to turn out as cute as I had envisioned them. So before I opened my waffle maker I said a little prayer and *voila!* they were so adorable! Brannon laughed at me as I did a little happy dance.

Topping Ideas:

  • Homemade Whipped Cream (all you need is heavy cream, a splash of vanilla, and some sugar)
  • Syrup
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Sprinkles
  • Chocolate Syrup
  • Strawberry Syrup
  • Valentine colored M&M’s

This could turn into a dessert very quickly…

What’s your favorite way to eat waffles? Are you a waffle fan like I am?
