I Made It, Friday!

I have had this idea in the back of my head for a while now, and I am glad I have the time today to start it up!
 Here’s how it works:
1) Think of something you’ve made that week. This could be something you cooked, a diy project, something you made on the computer, a picture you edited… anything!
2) Blog about it, and post pictures!
3) Give information on how you made it (when possible)
4) Finally, please remember to grab the button, or link back to my blog!
I Made It!
I took this old dresser I have had for years. It was originally my sisters and she got it when she was like 10? It used to have a vanity mirror that went on the back, but I am not sure what happened to that along the way.
When first bought, it was white, and like I said, had the mirror attached to it. Then, years down the road the mirror came off, and she used it as a desk. Another few years later, she didn’t want it anymore so my dad spray painted it black and let me use it as a desk in my room. Fast forward to about 7 months ago, I thought I wanted it yellow. So I took my can of spray paint and went to town… but I ran out of paint and patience and that is the product of what you see above! UGLY, half yellow, black legs, sitting in my garage for months begging me to do something to it!
 So, I finally did!

My blue wall looks super bright in the second picture… sorry about that!
 How I Made It:
I didn’t sand it.
The paint I used is in a can. Valspar from Lowes
-Color: 2001-3B Cliveden Colonial Rose (I used semi-gloss)
-Painted two coats
-New Knobs are from Hobby Lobby!
So simple! And now I have an adorable sewing desk. I just love the sewing machine, it is “technically” my moms. :) Thanks mom.
Now go link up! I can’t wait to see what you’ve made this week!

  1. Looks great! Love the color next to your blue wall. Need you to help me do some painting when I get there. Research the “distressed” look for me. :)

Hi! I'm Bree

In my day-job, I teach amazing individuals how to make money with their blog and social media! I started blogging back in 2010 as a hobby, and it turned into my dream job—helping women make their own money on their own terms. Blogging became a job that I love—now, I’m back to use this online journal as a fun place to document my life so I can look back 20 years from now and remember all the magical things.
