Monday Goals

At our Pinterest blog party yesterday (pics to come tomorrow!) one friend asked me about Art Journaling and wanted to know if you could use any medium.

 The answer?

 YES!

Art journaling only requires you and your hands. You can use any paper at all, and any tools to create marks. It can be as simple as an old notebook and a ball point pen. It can be as complicated as stencils, acrylic ink, stamps, and a blow dryer. Art journaling is what you make it to be.

Whats the reason for art journaling?
To express creativity, emotions, and your voice.

Its a lot like blogging, in the aspect that you can express yourself. But it is so different too. There is something about using a pen and paper and colors to express your emotions and creativity versus the traditional mouse and computer.

Have you started art journaling yet?

Today I have been thinking a LOT about goals. Goals I have for the day, the week, the month, before summer, for the year, and for the next five years. I had SO much going on in my mind, that I knew I needed to get it out!

So, I grabbed my journal, some colored pencils and black pens, and got to work.

And you know what, you don’t have to share your art journal with anyone, its yours, your thoughts, and your personal emotions.  If you want to, you can share it with anyone at all. Or if you’re like me, you have some pages that you don’t mind showing to people and some that you wont show to anyone. Its totally up to you!

Have you started art journaling? If so, how do you like it?

Happy Monday!!

Hi! I'm Bree

In my day-job, I teach amazing individuals how to make money with their blog and social media! I started blogging back in 2010 as a hobby, and it turned into my dream job—helping women make their own money on their own terms. Blogging became a job that I love—now, I’m back to use this online journal as a fun place to document my life so I can look back 20 years from now and remember all the magical things.
