Summer Trip

In just a few days hubs and I are taking our very first long road trip together! The farthest we’ve ever driven together is about 5-6 hours. But soon we will be headed from Houston to Colorado!

Hubs has never been to my home state and I am so excited to go exploring with him! It’s been at least 5 years since I’ve been back. I miss my grandparents, I haven’t seen them since. I’ve seen the ones on my dads side, but not on my moms side (the ones that live in Colorado).

I am just so excited for when we will be able to start seeing the Mountains! The town I grew up in was at the base of the Rocky Mountains. We didn’t always go up hiking, but just the fact that you would see them every single day… I miss that so much. I don’t miss the snow, not at all, but I miss those gorgeous mountains. I plan on taking a million pictures…

That is the view I grew up with. There is the lake in the center of town, and I always lived just a few streets over from it, and at one point, just across the street from it.

Hubs and I are going to take our bikes, and I know we are going to put lots of miles on them this trip.A bike ride around a lake with that view every morning? Yes please! Plus there are so many parks, and art throughout the city. There is one park that is just a sculpture park. We used to go walk and play through there as kids all the time.

So this week I am cleaning, working, doing laundry, making lists, and packing! So this week y’all will get to see tips for packing, road trips snack ideas, and my outfit for the 4th of July!

-Happy Monday-

  1. I’m so jealous of your view in CO! I also grew up at the base of mountains (in SC) and I miss seeing them in the distance. I appreciate it so much more now when I visit home!

Hi! I'm Bree

In my day-job, I teach amazing individuals how to make money with their blog and social media! I started blogging back in 2010 as a hobby, and it turned into my dream job—helping women make their own money on their own terms. Blogging became a job that I love—now, I’m back to use this online journal as a fun place to document my life so I can look back 20 years from now and remember all the magical things.
