The Real Deal.

I decided I would share some more things “about me.” I realize they are random. But… I am really random, like all day. :))

 The Thing About Joy (me)…

-I was home schooled K-12th grade. While it made me who I am today (which I wouldn’t change for the world!) I hated it.

-I have had the hardest time figuring out what to do with my life.

-I gained “post wedding” weight. Too much. And am working my booty off to get it off.

-I used to hate twitter. Now I love it.

-I used to love Facebook. Now I hate it.

-I stress myself out because I have 100,000,000 things in my head of things I “want to do” but I don’t have time to do. So I am learning I need to make lists and keep them somewhere. Seriously. Its bad.

-I love watching TV shows like: Project Runway, Americas Next Top Model, WipeOut!, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, & How I Met Your Mother.

-I don’t have cable (that’s that they call it right??) so we watch tv shows on netflix or the computer. :))

-I have no desire to go on a Cruise.

-I really want to own my own successful business one day. Or be in a graphic design job that I LOVE. *they can both go together*

The Thing About Joy (the real deal)
-Joy doesn’t always just show up.
-Sometimes you have to find joy.
-When your having the worst day ever, that’s the time you have to prove to yourself that you can find joy in something.
-Sometimes, you need to help others find joy.
-Because one day,  you’ll need someone to help you find joy.
-Ashley at Little Blue Boo has inspired me sooo much. Read about her “Choose Joy” story if you get a chance.
-So try every day, to make joy be in your life.
Choose Joy!

  1. You are too cute!! I feel the same way about Twitter and Facebook especially lately!! I don’t like the whole Timeline thing… and I love the simplicity of Twitter!!

And not having cable desesrves some great PROPS to you!! I wish I had the will but I just can’t seem to get there! One day!!

    Happy Saturday!

  2. I was homeschooled K-12 as well, but I actually loved it. Probably because I had 8 siblings to spend time with all day, and they’re my best friends today.
I know what you mean about stressing yourself out over things you want to get done. I set high standards for myself and push myself, sometimes too much I think, because I feel I didn’t accomplish anything when I actually did. If that makes sense. ;)

  3. I like this post!!

My husband was home-schooled from K-12. (Well, maybe 10? He did some college classes in his last few years of home schooling.)

Hi! I'm Bree

In my day-job, I teach amazing individuals how to make money with their blog and social media! I started blogging back in 2010 as a hobby, and it turned into my dream job—helping women make their own money on their own terms. Blogging became a job that I love—now, I’m back to use this online journal as a fun place to document my life so I can look back 20 years from now and remember all the magical things.

I use baking as a way
to de-stress...

And I love to play hostess and make my guests fabulous cocktails...
