Tragedy strikes when you least expect it.

One of my best friends tried to commit suicide last night.

I had just spent the afternoon with her.

She is okay. At the hospital now, paperwork finally came through so they can move her to a rehabilitation facility for a few days and then go from there.

Thank you God for saving her.

Still feel in shock from it all. Please say a prayer for her, she is only 22. And for her family. And me. I wish I knew what to say. What to do. I feel so freaked out and helpless.

We have been best friends for 5 years, through thick and thin. She was in my wedding. We text all day every day. *sigh* I’m just in shock.

Sorry for the downer. Just need prayer. I know God is in control and just giving it all to Him, because He is the healer of all things and can fix any broken situation.

I’m so glad I know him!

Anywho… Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday. :)) I had a great pinterest post planned too! Haha. Guess it will wait until tomorrow.

  1. Thinking of you. I’ve been in a very similar situation with a friend. It’s so hard. But it does get easier. Dole out hugs like they’re candy and savor every smile. That’s all you can do for now.

  2. My thoughts are with you Bree! I’ve lost an aunt and good friend to suicide. I am so glad she is going to be okay, and is able to go to a rehabilitation center. All you can do now is just be a support system, things will get better! Hang in there lady. Sending hugs your way!

  3. I can’t even imagine how you must feel. I’m hoping your friend can find the happiness and help she needs. I’m sure you are a great support for her!

  4. Hang in there, girl. It’s tough now, but it’s going to get better… for all of you. So glad that she is getting help, and has people who care enough to go to the hospital and be by her side. You are helping to save her life right now.

  5. I’m so sorry to hear this, Bree, and I know you’re in a difficult spot. Unfortunately/Surprisingly, I’ve been there… but on the other side of the situation. At a time like this, there isn’t really a right way to go back it. Just give love — letters, hugs, smiles, something completely unrelated to “get well soon” (that was my preference, at least).

I’m sending you both good vibes, and I hope that she gets love, rest, peace, and guidance.

  6. I’m sorry friend for the trials your friend is going through. BUT I’m so happy that she has a superb friend like you. You’re so strong in your faith and positivity that I just know she’ll have plenty of support from her family and you! I’ll keep you and her in prayer … keep your head up and just be there for her as you are now!
